Since 2012, YAKOO Technology has been the trusted tech partner for Hong Kong's premier universities and enterprises. We are a proud AWS Select Tier Services Partner, currently managing a robust hybrid cloud infrastructure: over 80+ servers (AWS & VMWare) and 100+ web applications. As our project pipeline expands, we need a dynamic "Operator & Automator" to scale our SecOps securely and efficiently.

The Role: SecOps + Automation + Client Comm

This is not a traditional IT Support role. Working directly under the mentorship of our CEO, your mission is not just to maintain systems, but to build automated operations pipelines and take ownership of critical client-facing security communications. This is the perfect launchpad for someone with an engineering background ready to pivot into Cloud Computing and Cybersecurity.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Drive Automation via "Vibe Coding": Stop doing things manually! Our CEO is currently building our next-gen inventory and monitoring systems using AI-assisted "vibe coding." You will collaborate directly with the CEO to build, deploy, and scale these tools using a cutting-edge stack: OpenNext, Cloudflare (CF) Workers, and AI Gateways.

Manage at Scale (Core AWS Stack): Oversee the daily operations of our Hybrid Cloud environment. You will be hands-on with our core infrastructure, heavily utilizing AWS EC2, EBS, EKS, RDS, VPC, Lambda, CloudFront, WAF, and S3...etc..

University IT & Infra Coordination: Act as the primary technical bridge between YAKOO and the IT/Security teams of top-tier universities. Monitor and respond to their internal security alerts and vendor IT assessments.

Security Incident Communication: Act as the lead communicator during critical events (e.g., zero-day vulnerabilities). You will draft technical advisories, coordinate patch windows, and clarify SLA boundaries to help promote our Proactive Security Packages.

Security Monitoring & Triage: Act as the first line of defense. Monitor server logs and WAF, performing initial troubleshooting before escalating to the Core Dev Team.

What You’ll Need:

Background: Degree/Higher Diploma in Engineering (e.g., Electronic, Mechanical, Industrial) or related fields. You don't need a formal CS degree if you have a rigorous, logical mindset.

Experience: 2 to 5 years of working experience in engineering or technical operations.

The "University" Factor: Prior experience working in or closely with Hong Kong universities, especially on IT projects or vendor security assessments, is a massive plus.

Tech-Savvy & Modern AI Mindset: You must be comfortable leveraging AI tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to assist in scripting and automation. Familiarity with the Linux command line or our core stack (AWS/Cloudflare) is a massive plus. Holding an active AWS Certification is a strong advantage.

Communication: Stellar written skills in English and Chinese to translate complex security threats into professional emails for rigorous university IT departments.
